The 2026 season is shaping up to be an exciting year for St. Margaret’s Bay Storm Lacrosse, and now is the time for families and players to start getting ready. Whether you are returning to the program or thinking about joining for the first time, we want to make sure you have all the information you need to prepare for a great season on the floor.
These dates are important milestones for everyone planning to participate this year:
Registration opens: February 9, 2026
Registration closes: March 8, 2026
Official on-floor sessions & ID camps: April 10 to May 1, 2026
Regular season: May 1 through July 26, 2026
*Please note that these dates are currently being finalized and are subject to change. Any updates will be shared through our website, email, and social media channels.
We will once again be offering Try Lacrosse sessions for new and returning players who want to get a feel for the game before committing to the season. These sessions will be announced soon and will run through February and early March. This is a great opportunity for new players to try lacrosse in a fun, low-pressure environment and for returning players to knock off some rust. These sessions will be free of charge. Your child may also see us at their school as we look to recruit new players in all age groups with a specific focus on growing our female game.
To help players get ready for the season, Storm Lacrosse will be running clinics and pre-season practices throughout January, February and March. These sessions will focus on stick skills, conditioning, and game fundamentals to ensure players feel confident when official on-floor sessions begin in April. While our January calendar is published, more details on times and locations for February and March will be released soon.
Storm Lacrosse is a community-run organization, and we rely on the support of parents, players, and volunteers to make our season successful. We are currently looking for:
Coaches - Storm Lacrosse will pay for your certification and can enable you if you're new to the game
Team managers
General volunteers
If you are interested in helping out in any capacity, please reach out to Steve St Ament (stormlacrosseregistrar@gmail.com) or watch for volunteer sign-ups in the coming weeks. Your involvement makes a big difference in creating a great experience for our athletes.
Families are encouraged to regularly check the master calendar on our website at www.stormlacrosse.ca. This is where all confirmed schedules, sessions, and events will be posted.
More information will continue to be shared through email and on our social media channels, so please keep an eye out for updates as we move closer to the season.
We’re looking forward to another exciting year of Storm Lacrosse and can’t wait to see everyone back on the floor for the 2026 season!
