The St. Margaret's Bay Storm Lacrosse Association serves the outer edge of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our lacrosse teams include players from St. Margaret's Bay, Hammonds Plains, Tantallon, Prospect Bay, Timberlea, Hatchet Lake, etc. We are dedicated to providing the youth of our communities the opportunity to participate in the greatest game on the planet which is sure to improve their social, emotional and physical well-being.
We are a member of the Metro Minor Lacrosse League of Nova Scotia which is open to boys and girls from the ages of 7 to the early twenties. The Metro Minor Lacrosse League is governed by Lacrosse Nova Scotia which is a member of the Canadian Lacrosse Association and has 9 member associations including the St. Margaret's Bay Storm, Sackville Wolves, Dartmouth Bandits, Halifax Hurricanes, Halifax North West Rebels, South Shore, Bedford Rock, Western Valley, Truro and Eastern Shore Breakers lacrosse teams.
The season runs from the end of March until July. The league games generally start the first week in May with playoffs ending the first or second week of July. Our pre-season training and try-outs typically begin in late March or early April depending on the availability of gym floor time and when the ice comes out of local arenas. In the past few years the St. Margaret’s Bay Centre has not taken out the ice so the majority of our home games have been at the Dalhousie arena.
